Puppies should attend their first veterinary appointment when they are about six weeks old, where kittens should come in around eight weeks.
At this initial appointment, your pet will receive a full physical examination to assess their overall health, look for signs of any congenital defects, and test for external parasites.
Your vet will also administer the first round of puppy or kitten vaccinations and provide them deworming medications for roundworms and hookworms.

Followup Appointments
